What did you have for dinner?

Apart from setting the oven on fire, last weekends cooking has turned out quite well.
Slow cooked about a kilo of Chuck steak in a Vindalo mix with hard vegetables including Potato, Sliced carrot, Sweet Potato, Corn kernels, garlic, onions , button mushrooms, a can of Coconut cream and a few other items. 2 Hrs later in I tossed in a can of chopped tomatoes and some more garlic with salt / pepper and a dash of curry mix and let it slow cook for another 3 hrs.
When all the ingredients had mixed well and the meat was tender, turned off the heat and added the green items.
Big handful of green beans, 1/4 cabbage thinly sliced, sliced broccoli, cauliflower, sliced Bouc Choi and young silver beat
Let them cook in the residual heat without going soft.
End result was well spiced tender meat with crisp vegetables that retained their individual flavors.
This was one of my better experiments.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

You really should have a larger rug under that dining table as well.

You suck, ricecakes.
Your guests will really enjoy that crappy Vietnamese-brewed Tiger Beer served in non Coola Products beer koozies that will be lukewarm in seconds. Good beer is available here in Vietnam now thanks to the nice folks at Pasteur Street Brewing Co. Get some.
And did you give a fake phone # when you picked up that Realistic audio system at Radio Shack? How about heading down to Hai Ba Trung Street and get some audio equipment that you and your guests will dig.
But, I disagree with Sublime. That rug really ties the room together.
