I'm not big on cats either, they were just in the house.Chuangt2u wrote: Cats??
Not for me, thanks.
Not exactly a bug, but one of these Pied Kingfishers often sits on the tree out the back of my house:

Stamp on cockroaches, whack mosquitoes with an electric racket, don't squash the little beetles that sometimes swarm around because they stink, there aren't too many others worth getting bothered about.

Chuangt2u - It was in Kompong Som, crawled along the guest house balcony. A real freaky little critter. Not seen another before or since!
These must be the toughest little fkrs around. They're sealed inside a plastic jar with no water source, they seem to live on dried pepper, and they've been there for months, (at least 3 months at my place, and, yes - we've eaten some). I'd guess at least 50% of the peppercorns in this jar have a hole drilled in them and a bug living in the hole.
Reminds me of the time I walked into a hotel in PP and asked if they had cigars for sale. He opened the little humidor box and all the nice Cuban cigars were half-eaten by tobacco beetles. I mentioned that fact to him and he offered them for half price! I politely declined.

Diehard, have you had civet-poop coffee?
Maybe the beetles will add a special flavour.
You might be missing a big business opportunity here.
If you can spread the word to the Chinese that it works like viagra, you'll never look back.

It grows?
It's from Indonesia, the name is kopi luwak. It is collected from the droppings of the civet cat. Very expensive but now widely available due to the fact that it's done industrially. Civet cats kept in cages are fed coffee beans.
You can also get it in Vietnam I think but I don't know the name.
