How popular is UFC style MMA in Cambodia?
Just wondering. I went there twice now and I do understand they are masters of kickboxing(saw it everyday, in every place I saw a tv, serious) but just wondering how common or popular mma is.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Also popular is being a total and utter tosspot poseur and acting like a "hard" man.
So you, *ahem* King Ghidorah *cough cough spew*, will fit right in much the same way as your warty little pencil dick fits right into the sweaty arse cracks of your "training" partners...

The only two "sports" that seem to rate here with locals are Soccer and Professional Wrestling.
With both sports it's all about the diving and acting!

sure beats the "sit on a barstool every night" activities that most expats participate in
to answer the question, very little mma anywhere in SEA

There is some grappling and submissions and all that in bokator though right?
Not as popular as kickboxing, but people do it.
There seems to be a decent amount of MMA in SE Asia. I was looking into it because I was trying to find a BJJ gym in Singapore when I was thinking about getting a job there a while back. Plenty in Singapore and Bangkok...but I've never seen anything in PP.

Yeah Bokator is making a comeback after decades in the dark. Prodal (kickboxing) is quite popular but MMA is virtually unknown/not popular. Wrestling is also way less popular than prodal. Soccer+voleyball are probably the two most popular sports. UFC is shit though, Pride, now that was the real deal.

Pride was good. Have you seen the movie "The Smashing Machine"? Drugs kill.
How was UFC 139 shit? Did you see it?
The fastest growing sport in the world, allegedly. A big one this weekend as well, Jones Vs Machida.

I follow UFC religiously. You can usually find me in the front chair at Lone Star on Sunday mornings, glued to the TV, chugging dozens of free refill coffee.
Also Ive got the complete season of the Ultimate FIghter 14 on harddrive. It just finished this week, so anyone who wants it, PM me, come over and grab it, bring a harddrive and ill transfer it.

Goodbye America, if anyone asks, say we were shipwrecked. Goodbye to your junk and your old hideola. Have a nice day.
