Where to meet regular locals?
Where to meet regular locals?
Hi, my friends and I will be visiting PP from Korea in May, and would like some advice on where we can meet normal Cambodian students and young professionals. All the online forums only give advice on places to meet hookers and expats! Are there bars or restaurants where normal local people hang out?
It will be my first trip to SE Asia, so I will appreciate any advice you guys can give! Thanks!

Lots around. Ask your receptionist where the closest one is.

Young professionals commonly visit the plethora of coffee shops in the city.
I came, I argued, I'm out

Yes, I agree, Beer gardens are often a good way to meet people. They can be quite loud though! Local restaurants. You'll find that Cambodians are very friendly people and just by saying hello to people can result in a conversation and friendship!

I don't find beer gardens are full of young professionals and university students. Clubs are a better bet. Or maybe KFC or some other place like that. They'll be middle or upper-middle class (especially in clubs), otherwise you can just hangout near Nagaworld (the park in front in the evening) and there are often university students walking around there. Beer gardens are usually full of middle-aged men.
What is ur goal? Are u selling them something? Eternal life, perhaps?taco330xi wrote:Hi, my friends and I will be visiting PP from Korea in May, and would like some advice on where we can meet normal Cambodian students and young professionals. ...

Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.
