Sunday Buffet at The Exchange
Sunday Buffet at The Exchange
I attended the Sunday roast buffet at The Exchange today. I must say I was somewhat disappointed. The meat was cooked well, although the servings were minuscule. The veg was no more the ok and the Yorkshire Puddings were a little greasy. What disappointed me the most was the service. I waited more than 30 minutes for dessert and I was not offered a free drink which I thought was part of the buffet deal. I may be wrong on that point. A service charge was added to the bill. I have no objection to paying a service charge for a decent service, but in my opinion the service was abysmal. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, I have spoken to a couple of friends who actually recommended The Exchange as the best Sunday Roast in Phnom Penh.

You're not a Mormon. Mormon's don't spend money on Sunday, and don't complain petulantly about poor service either.

1st post syndrome - I'd like to ask admins if they can check the ip address of this member, as I deeply suspect shenanigans going on here.

The second 'm' was a typo.happy_buddha wrote:You're not a Mormon. Mormon's don't spend money on Sunday, and don't complain petulantly about poor service either.
It's 'Moron'.

This occurred to me also. First post, slagging off a local restaurant.Jonny wrote:1st post syndrome - I'd like to ask admins if they can check the ip address of this member, as I deeply suspect shenanigans going on here.
It's a Phnom Penh IP address, matches two other posters, neither is known to be a competitor as far as I know.
The post wasn't a total hatchet job, there were some borderline positive things in it. My guess is that it's sincere.

So, we now have 3 posters using the same computer? Hmmm...gavinmac wrote:

Not uncommon. Internet cafes, posts using cell phones, etc. The post that you just made shows an IP address shared by about 100 other posters.cambod wrote:

I think Vlad's right (for once).
If it's a buffet, and the dude is complaining about small servings and the waitresses not providing service, perhaps he didn't understand that he was allowed to get seconds, and to do so meant he had to get off his chair.

I've been to the Exchange once and i thought the service was crap and the food only average. I've also been upstairs to the Vault (for a private function) where the food was excellent but again the service was crap, in particular the attitude and snarls of the head waitress or whatever her title is. I for one will never go back, not that they would miss me.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
