Not quite. Big Country is Roy Nelson. He's had several losses, but beats most guys except for the top tier of fighters. He beat Cheick Kongo, who is a French kickboxer, not really a BJJ guy. In fact, Nelson's got better BJJ than Kongo.ricecakes wrote:Anyone watch Sundays mma or ufc or whatever it's called ? There is this massive dude called big country John or some such. He is pretty flabby but had arms like ham hocks. His record was 5 wins by ko no losses.gets in the ring with a bjj dude and at two minutes knocks him out with a haymaker overarm hammer punch.lights out. He then jumps up on the ropes and starts rubbing his belly.crowd goes wild.
I have been grappling since 2009 the fees are done through the gym as say 10 class passes they work out to about 6-7 dollars a session 10 if you want to pay casually and the guy in the UFC was Roy "big country" Nelson(has the worlds hardest overhand) knocked out a big black French kick boxer on the weekend. And yep you would be holding a sweaty man on the gym floor
If I was the announcer I'd be like " here's rooooooooy biiiiiiiig cuuuuunt...............Ry Nelssssssssson"
Rated R for Ricecakes

When you say 'through the gym', do you mean that an actual weight-lifting/cardio gym comes with it? Use of, I mean.
Otherwise, the price seems kinda steep. Your example is 10 classes at say $65/month. 3 day/wk classes would equal $85/month. Also assuming that you're not using a gi which, if you were, would be another $50-$75 right off the hop. 1 hour classes means that they would need at the very least 3-4 classess/wk to get better.
Yeah it is run through the k1 gym and they have a weights gym there that you have unlimited access to as well. It's completely no gi. They are the prices for now but I agree with you it would be better to have a monthly fee that you can just pay and attend as many classes as you want but unfortunately I have to follow boss mans lead for the time being.
And if you get bad cauliflowers be it from wrestling, rugby whatever you can drain it and its okay but if it gets bad its definitely permanent, doesn't effect hearing or anything just not great aesthetically.
Thanks for the questions guys,
Ben

Nice. This way you can devote the whole hour to technical and they can train speed, strength and stamina seperately. 3-4 full hours of technical/week is pretty good. No need for warm-up/cool-down as they would be expected to do this prior and after every class. With the gym, this sounds good Ben.
One other thing tho, and I'm not bitching, I really like what you're doing.lol But..what about the poor? Alot can't even pay that, even it being a good deal, because it is going to be out of their price range. Numbers could be a huge benefit if you can organize well, and at little cost. You can still profit from them. Some in fee but as well the spillover effect. Its also the poor that will be the most likely to commit hard to win tournies, make names, later when you have them.
I think this could work out very well for you in Cambodia if you put in heart and soul.

You can wear the wrestlers cap, Cambod. Nothing like headphones. Just a plastic contoured plate around the ears basically. No chance of getting cauli.
Cauli is rare tho and the truth is that for fellas typically involved enuff in grappling, for long enuff, who even actually happen to get cauli... they've already got the ladies on them and the cauli just makes them look meaner.lol. serious.
