I would agree with that. Kingdom($1.50) pretty reasonably priced and much more drinkable than the others. I like the indochine IPA ($2/2.50) tooHanno wrote:I reckon the best local beer is Kingdom and it is my beer of choice. I’m enjoying one of these in a bar at the moment. Anyone know where I could pick up a case for home?Miguelito wrote:I’m a big of the Indochine White myself.ReasonstobefearfulP3 wrote:I would agree with that. You should DEFINITELY not ask the bar where you might be able to procure someMiguelito wrote:Miguelito wrote:I’m enjoying one of these in a bar at the moment. Anyone know where I could pick up a case for home?

Went to that Khmer restaurant (Srey Leak 5555) on the northern end of Wat Ounalom last night for food. They had a Ganzberg promotion on with lots of staff and a band playing. I drank Cambodia bottles to make the Ganzberg for them in the toilet. I don't think anyone noticed.
Good food at that place.

Was in Kampot, figured the Khmer guy working there wouldn’t know where in Phnom Penh to buy some...Captain Bonez wrote:You should DEFINITELY not ask the bar where you might be able to procure someMiguelito wrote:Miguelito wrote:I’m enjoying one of these in a bar at the moment. Yeah, there's no way you could take a case from Kampot to Phnom Penh. Utterly impossibleMiguelito wrote:Was in Kampot, figured the Khmer guy working there wouldn’t know where in Phnom Penh to buy some...Captain Bonez wrote:You should DEFINITELY not ask the bar where you might be able to procure someMiguelito wrote:Miguelito wrote:I’m enjoying one of these in a bar at the moment. Well as I live in Phnom Penh, and it's brewed in Phnom Penh, I would like to know where to buy it in the future for my home in Phnom Penh. Any ideas?Captain Bonez wrote:Yeah, there's no way you could take a case from Kampot to Phnom Penh. I suppose I could go to the Kingdom Brewery first Fridays in a few weeks and ask there, and perhaps buy there, but I was curious if any retail outlets sell it? I certainly haven't seen it in the grocery stores.

I used to buy it in Angkor Mart in TTP. Haven’t been in there in years, but assume they would still sell it.
Interestingly (for me) when it came out it was a bit more expensive than the Angkor/Anchor cans but I was happy to pay this as i thought it tasted better (or maybe i just wanted to think it was nicer) I was surprised to see its price soon reduce to be on a par with the others.

Finally stopped by Angkor Market. Negative on the Indochine White. They did have a Kingdom Dark, which the labels says is “insanely strong” (despite it’s actually apv of 5%), for 80 cents a bottle, but that doesn’t help me in my quest for Indochine White...Miguelito wrote:Nice, thanks.
