Barbados lady drinks
The last few times I've been in there, every girl I've offered a lady drink to has chosen straight apple juice. Even girls who I know to be little drunken whores. Now I don't mind if the girl wants a non-alcoholic drink, but I think Barbados management may be taking the piss and ordering its girls to drink only apple juice so they can charge $3.00 for 10 cents worth of juice.

My golden rule is NEVER buy a girl a ladies drink. Never have, never will.
And those whiny chicks that sit next to you for hours at a time whining about not getting a ladies drink... well, they also do themselves out of the inevitable tip for their services of bringing me drinks that they would of inevitably got. But the constant whining just makes my bar experience horrible, so obviously they aint going to get a tip.

Ahh the much lamented Lady Drinks.
I've had a great discussion about this subject about the pro's and cons of LD's. The fact is they are here and a few bars rip you off with them. The funny thing is that other bars I know that also don't supply alcohol/much alcohol in thier lady drinks don't seem to copy much stick for it mainly because of the affluence of thier customers.
The policy we have is if it's alchoholic based it's $3, the girl gets to choose how much alcohol and if it's non-alcoholic it's $2.
The question is though are you buying a ladydrink to get her drunk or to reward her for her attention.
Try these ways to avoid buying a lady drink.
) Buy a drink for yourself and give it to the girl. (viewed as being a tight arse)
2) Don't buy her a drink just give her the money she would have got if you had bought her a drink.(My favourite one because mot guys won't give the girl the $3 he would have had to pay for the drink, once again a tight arse)
3) Don't buy a drink don't give the girl any money (don't be surprised when they ignore you on your next visit).
4) Don't go to hostess bars as you don't seem to know what they are there for.
Excuses often heard:
I don't support the idea of lady drinks so I give the girl the money directly.
*****If you use this reason do you give the $3 to the girl or the $1 to the girl. If it's the former well done, you are sticking by your principles if it's the latter, you're a tight arse.
Thier hostesses it's their job to massage me and make me feel good.
******True to a degree but the $40/month only covers so much and after that it's upto you how much attention they will give you.
I'm the customer and the customer is always right.
******Not when you are an arsehole, every bar reserves the right of entry whether stated or not.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to rehash or regurgitate the lady drink debate or even the alcoholic v. nonalcoholic lady drink debate. I was simply pointing out that something may be up at Barbados specifcally. If you buy six lady drinks on different nights and all six girls ask for straight apple juice, something is amiss. They may have a new policy that the girls have to drink apple juice, or that the girls have to drink apple juice before a certain time of night (8pm? 9pm?) or maybe they have put some of their girls on apple juice probation. I don't know. I just know that when girls choose freely, it's usually a mixture of non-alocoholic drinks (Fanta, Red Bull, etc.) and alcoholic (Baileys, Bacardi Coke, Malibu Apple). I guess six drinks is not great statistical sample, but six girls all drinking apple juice seems like more than a coincidence. Maybe Dateline NBC can come and do an investigation on this scandal.
I wouldn't mind a bar watering down alcoholic lady drinks. There's a reason to do that not just to save money-- it keeps these 90-100 pound girls from getting rip-roaring drunk and becoming alcoholics, if they are not already. I had a Shanghai girl tell me that she doesn't drink at work because if she gets drunk at work, she's docked $5.

On the subject of wages being docked, I hear girls are docked a few $ for being late, up to $15 for missing a day, and a few $ for things like breaking glasses, etc. And now $5 for getting drunk on the job (surely the reason they've got drunk is because they've managed to sell large numbers of lady drinks, which is the whole point, no?)
I have to say, if it were me, on a salary of $40 (ie $1.25 a day), I'd quickly end up actually paying the bar to work there.
These particular bar fines seem excessive to me, are they for real? Anyone to justify them?
