They have a variety of breakfasts on the menu; but I'm yet to get past the aloo poori and a coffee. It's two lovely poori's and a big ass bowl of freshly spiced soupy alooOn The Buses wrote:What type of breakfast do they serve? I eat breakfast there every time I'm in PP.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I love Warung Bali on 178
Great Indonesian food and the prices are ludicrously cheap.

This little place seems to have many positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I've never tried Indonesian food before, what dishes do you recommend?Stramash wrote:Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I love Warung Bali on 178

Note: I'm not a fan of anything too spicy.

I used to really enjoy the Malaysian food at D'Nyonya, which was located opposite the Central Market (Near to the small PTC store)
The food was REALLY top notch! They closed down a year or two ago. Does anyone know if they have another branch in Phnom Penh?

Prompted by a remark in another thread, i think it's worth bumping this thread to give people a chance to add new places.
I actually intended to make a summary of comments from this thread but life happened. I don't think I will be given a chance in the near future.

Went to a number of places this trip. To summarize:
Armand's - fantastic beef as always, enjoyed chatting with the blind drunk proprietor afterwards too.
Sonoma Oyster House - great fresh oysters at a very good price. Other dishes good too, but oysters are the reason to go.
Mondulkiri Cafe - good Khmer restaurant with reasonable prices, large menu that provides good opportunity for those unfamiliar with the nuances of Khmer cuisine to try.
Will say more after I get off the plane...

Just looked up the wine list:

Wine is too expensive, for me to eat there regularly. Their cheapest wine is a Haut-Médoc for $42, you can get a Haut-Médoc in Bouchon for $25, and a Bordeaux Superior for $17. Food looks good though, shame about the wine.
