Refused entry into Thailand now moving to PP
Last night I was refused entry into Thailand due to my passport having too many visa exempt stamps.
Still in a state of shock but basically I need to get my condo and car sold in Chiang Mai and relocate myself to PP.
I am sure I am the tip of the iceberg before the wave of Thailand falangs come here.
Just looking for some pointers and advice by the seasoned veterans here.
Yes I have searched this topic and read through everything but I am looking for up to date info, especially on the visa policy changing in Cambodia in October? I really don't want to get stranded again.
Thanks in advance.

Not much help, so excuse that, but what do they do when they refuse you entry? Just tell you to get on a plane somewhere else?

Yes it was pretty much a case of them saying "you not tourist" then telling me I had 24hrs to shuffle on. I can use bkk airport as a transit hub but nothing more.
All so frustrating as I have a condo I bought in cm and a car. But in all honesty I knew I was skirting the legalities of it but with my offshore work routine no visa is applicable to me. Great get a years tourist visa, oh no I fly out every few weeks. Exactly.
Over on thaivisa I had my topic closed down due to using a UK VPN for my business.
And now I'm hearing stories of having to prove you're not a tourist to keep your bank accounts in thailand. I'm starting to get the feeling that I am not wanted.

Thailand have just relaunched the elite card scheme. Something that I am sure is not accidental.
At its' most expensive it might be beyond most...
2 Million baht & 200,000 baht a year - but that is for 20 years & gives you a five-year multiple-entry visa for unlimited passage in and out of Thailand as well as a one-year stay privilege. Including special airport clearance.
1 Million baht gets you the new The Property Card which allows the holder to buy a Condo (without the 49% rule coming into play).
500,000 baht gets another new entrant Thailand Easy Access which is for frequent entrants to Thailand...no special airport scheme though...
Bit out of my league - to stay anywhere..
The rules might change in Cambodia in October but you should have a visa that lasts until August 2015 by then, At least that allows a bit of planning time, Unlike the clowns who are running Thailand give anyone with their knee jerk changes.

Similar things happening in Indonesia. A guy I know here who owns a business with his adopted Indonesian brother was refused entry this week for having too many consecutive tourist entries. Nowhere, except perhaps Cambodia for the moment, is exempt from Immigration Department minions...

OP- Why didn't you just slip 2,000 baht into your passport and ask the guy to check again?

Go to your country's embassy in whatever country you're in and say your passport was lost or stolen. You get a clean fresh passport and go back to Thailand.

On the bright side, there could soon be so many farangs leaving their condos in Thailand and moving to Cambodia and the Philippines that the condos will lose so much of their value that they will hardly be worth worrying about. Just start again in Cambodia and whatever you do, don't buy property. Just rent.

Am I going to have to move to Thailand to get away from all the bald, tattooed, singlet wearing bottomfeeders moving to Cambodia?

Had to look up singlet. Really? Wearing a T-shirt makes you a bottom feeder?

Why don't you find a languange school in CM, get yourself an EDU visa for a year and study Thai?
No need for a border run, and you can get next year one again. Things can be so simple.

Crack down on educational visas. I can't afford a thai elite card or a property card so my bald, singlet wearing shit heel self will have to start over here in PP.
And yes, thousands are right behind me. Bars have been buzzing over the past year with everyone from the old and bold to young fresh english teachers debating their move to Cambodia.
Prepare yourself gentleman the tsunami is coming.
On a lighter note how do I add pictures?
