it was effectively discussing the fact that women from New Zealand and Australia were the "easiest" women around (it was based on some survey that had been done around number of sexual partners, etc. but misconstrued)

The interesting slant that I found in the article was the main focus was not that they were sleeping with a few people, but the scorn and shame that they would give it away for "free".

So definitely different attitudes (I'm not judging either, just my two cents)
But nothing is free in life,i mean if i date a girl than,i would normally take her out for dinner in Australia that would be close to $100,than maybe a show or threatre, than a nice hotel room,i dont like to take them home unless i really know them,as i have had a few stalkers in the past.so all up a date could cost you say $300 plus the time and listening to them chat away.
some dates where better than others and some led to a serious relationships, not sure about aussie ladies being easier or not,i was married to a pommy girl, and engaged a few times, they where kiwi, polish, american and vietnam, but all living and working in australia.the others where just casual but only two aussies.
Yes Jessy that is dingo ugly,
I thought in Australia a Hungry Jack's lucky meal followed by some sticky finger behind the bins was customary?
That's only if you're a highfalutin' Aussie.

A little hay and a haircut and your average Aussie gets his dream date:

You brought dates over to hotels...? Am I the only one who finds that weird? How did you explain that to them and how did they react?

I like the idea of tarariverboat having stalkers. If tara can have stalkers then there is hope for us all.

It appears you are still living in false hope.
Perhaps you and Gav should hit the town together one night.
You can hold each others hand and stroll through GSM and get rejected by all the acid heads and freaks.

Sorry Gav to associate you with scobie on such a fragile matter,
But he needs help and I figured you had the most experience in matters of the heart.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

well i would not book a hotel room unless it was agreed beforehand,we would actually use it:)i not into wasting good money.i owned a real estate company and most of my dates came from either home buyers or normally home sellers so we knew each other first,a few (blind dates) that i had where also not actually unknown to me either as it would be a date only after many phone calls or email,of course not every date ended up in a hotel room, some just invited me to there home after dinner,

i would not wish a stalker on my worse enemy, lady stalkers are bloody scary,i have had a few and its not fun at all.
just imagine 50 odd missed calls, turning up at my place and they are parked outside, fuck even one lady parked her car in my driveway and slept in it,for 2 days and i slept at a g/f home, they turn up at your door and wont leave, they turn up at your office,at your home opens, one lady even put my photo and name on flyers and plastered them all over town, shopping centers ect. just cause i did not want to see her again.she was proberly my worst stalker, and i meant her as a home seller, beautiful younger lady, owned her own home, she invited me to a party at her home as i sold her property quickly, turned out to be a candle lite dinner for 2 and of course i shagged her,but woke at at 2am in her bed and she was staring at me,fuck that freaked me out but i tried to just smile and say oh,is that the time:)after that i tried to let her down gently but she had other ideas,no nobody deserves a stalker:) :pissed:

I must admit I find that a bit out there as well (unless you were somewhere that wasn't where you lived)

back in my dating days if I lady was feeling accomodating I'd usually accompany her to her abode - but even then I didn't tend to shag on the first date once out of my teens, mostly due to having met some crazies in my time and going through a nasty divorce in my mid 20's, it ages a man considerably,

So while a bit of rumpy pumpy was always attractive, the looming threat of what could be hiding under the covers (ba dum tish) was enough that I'd want to make sure i wasn't shacking up with a(nother) black widow or super controlling type.

there are a lotta folks on both sides of the fence with a lot of issues, dont get me wrong, everyone has baggage, but the trick is to avoid those with too much or those that can't let go of the unnecessary shite.

After discussing with my friend she asked the question : "is the same service available for women to pick up a date/shag from a bar man?"

I have no idea.....

I think the male equivalent of the bargirl is a tuk tuk driver.
