any bar serving absinthe now?
my last tip was about the one on street 51 but that is gone.
Dont feel like going all the way out to Koh Rong just for that.
Must be someone who stocks the real thing, not the bottle with the old bearded man on the label, not the fake Czech stuff.
something like Jade Liquors or stronger...

Well, the "old bearded man" stuff is readily available everywhere. I think it's delicious.
Just out of curiosity - do you think that something is wrong with this brand ?

I found it quite aromatic (anise or whatever), and it totally knocks you out within 15 minutes.
What kind of brand are you looking for ?

I think the blue dragon near the Royal palace might be serving it.
And there's a possibility the owner of the new hostess bar where The Absinthe bar was may serve some.

The import ban on Absinthe into Australia was only lifted in 2013 and 2007 in the USA!
Can't beat a good absinthe with water and sugar. Yum. (Not that "modern "burning the sugar stuff)

Last time I drunk that stuff was at St 51 but it all ended in tears for me. On the bike journey home I had a chronic case of sudden diarrhoea.
But as the old saying goes, Absinthe makes the fart go Honda!

My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

The are some great cocktails that include absinthe as an ingredient, may it be just a swirl in the glass in the glass such as in a Sazerac, or Hemmingway's Death in the Afternoon. I like his instructions (which he contributed to a book of celebrity cocktail recipes in 1935): "Pour one jigger absinthe into a Champagne glass. Add iced Champagne until it attains the proper opalescent milkiness. Drink three to five of these slowly."
Three to five of those, especially in the afternoon, would certainly be deadly!

I have a couple of bottles at Lone Star that is the real stuff made with wormwood that I carried over from the U.S.

The hallucinogen is from the plant absinthia artemesium, although sage contains the same chemical which is called thujone (no, it's not a stephen king novel). For Real wrote:You mean this here right ?Timeslot Enigmatic wrote:yes, it's not absinthe. For Real wrote:Well, the "old bearded man" stuff is readily available everywhere. Per Kermann's does not contain absinthia artemesium

Thanks a bunch for this. I know there is a Lucky's in Sorya but where is Pencil, please?
I would prefer not to let the lowlifes in a bar see me shitting my pants.
