Did anyone watch this?
I see it's going to be shown at Meta House tonight (21:00–22:30)
A heartbroken Western clown wanders the Cambodian countryside. Dressed in a neat red and gold tunic with standard-issue comically oversized shoes associated with such folk, he leaves in his wake a slew of baffled and bemused Cambodians not entirely sure what it is they’ve just witnessed. As two very disparate cultures gently collide, a series of increasingly meaningful happy accidents begins to piece back together the shattered circus entertainer.
To watch Inside The Belly Of A Dragon is to consider Cambodia in a surprising new light. British co-directors/writers Ian Wiggins and Hugh W Brown were determined there would be none of the usual Western stereotypes in their feature-length offering; no drunken barangs, no girly bar scenes and no dreadlocked backpackers getting high at full moon parties. Instead, a beautifully shot and at times touchingly personal journey through a nation’s landscape and the lives of its people.
First screened at the 2014 Cambodia International Film Festival, the makers experienced problems in gaining rights to much of the soundtrack, and since then have embarked on somewhat of an odyssey; editing parts of the film and creating a new original soundtrack with input from Khmer musicians and Irish producer Rob O'Hara.
A huge hit at the Kampot Readers and Writers Festival, this is the first showing of the finished version in Phnom Penh.
Ian Wiggins, co-writer and co-director, will host a Q&A session after the film.

I liked it. I don't think he's creepy.
Heck, I fell asleep, but that wasn't his fault.
No, seriously, bringing a smile to folk is just what we need in these times.
Thanks to all!
