Hello,
There's going to be a sports tournament come early March, and the organisers are seeking a venue for the Saturday evening for their main party.
It can be Khmer or Western style.
Needs to hold approximately 150 people.
Space/facilities for a live band.
Preferably private, or at least be amenable to the idea of wristbands etc for tournament goers.
Very grateful for any suggestions of venues that the organisers can approach or if you know of anywhere personally then please let me know.
Oh, and if anyone knows of any caterers that can cater for lunch on the Sat and Sun at the Northbridge fields, then, again, please let me know.
Cheers,
Jess

Rustic Lounge on the corner of 178 and 19. The old Latin Quarter, but now a casual dining place with a lot of space and party rooms. 150 would be perfect. Great drinks specials and a good menu with things like $6 high quality pizzas, affordable wine etc.
The best thing is the building: The former French Colonial Governer's Mansion. A stunning backdrop in a very central location. I believe it was the setting for a movie film crew in the last few weeks.

Mao bar upstairs on Sisowath? Set up for live bands. Easy to operate a wristband system. No food on the premises I don't think so would have to order in.
Thanks! Both very good suggestions.

I'd second the Rustic Lounge, it's a beautiful building with loads of character and has plenty of space. Good food too.
As far as I can work out it was the residence of one of Cambodia's first Prime Ministers after Independence. The house dates from long before that though, I'd guess 1910-20.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

The Spark and Tawandang Brewery is more than big enough. In fact, 100+ could probably fit in the mezzanine level upstairs alone. They have a huge stage and do a variety of musical performances as well. I'm sure you could either rent the whole space out, or just the mezzanine. And they have very good Thai food.
