rather than be able to edit a previous post, I have to post again to say that I gave up on Fauda in season 3. Season 1 was very good. Season 2 was ok. Season 3 saw me fast forwarding through relationship shit and getting bored with the near misses etc.
Still glad I watched season 1 and wouldn't have bothered if logos hadn't made his post.

I've just finished two seasons of Yellowstone. It took me two attempts to get through the first couple of episodes. I stuck with it, and season 2 became quite enjoyable. Think Dallas meets Suits with a dash of Breaking Bad. There's quite a bit of killing that goes on. That may appeal to some. There's a splash of sex but only a splash. There's a couple of annoying females but one of them has grown on me in season 2.
It is produced by and stars Kevin Costner.

Did you ever get around to checking this one out ?violet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 11:57 amsame guy that did the movie Drive - worth me taking a look then.Playboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 11:33 am
So i just finished watching, 'Too Old To Die Young'. Part crime drama, part police drama, all weird.
The nutso Danish director, Nicolas Winding Refn, must have watched a lot of David Lynch stuff while being particularly stoned.
It was however fairly compulsive viewing, often wondering what the hell was going on/or going to happen next.
A one-off miniseries of just 10 episodes, well worth watching if you are stuck at home for the duration of this, The End of Times

I did watch an episode but wasn't in the mood for arty silent acting. Probably the sort of thing I'd like if I still smoked weed. I will try to remember to give it a second try some time.Playboy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 2:33 pmDid you ever get around to checking this one out ?violet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 11:57 amsame guy that did the movie Drive - worth me taking a look then.Playboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 11:33 am

Just binged my way through 5 seasons of the French espionage TV Show, The Bureau. Best thing I've watched for a long time. Also, part of Season 5 is filmed in Phnom Penh.

^ agreed, it’s very good.
Relatedly, not a tv show, but ‘A Prophet’ is in the same vein and also very good, for euro organised crime.

ZeroZeroZero about the global drugs trade is from the makers of Gomorrah, so worth checking out for any fans of the latter.
Great drama but fuck me is it biased. Totally over the top action. Naive directing. Homeland wannabe.violet wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 3:53 pmrather than be able to edit a previous post, I have to post again to say that I gave up on Fauda in season 3. Season 1 was very good.
