TV Club- Good Things to Watch
Before it wins all the awards, watch Mare of Easttown. Unfeasibly good acting all round, particularly Kate Winslet.

It's always gonna be hard finding decent series after watching Breaking Bad, but i thought Fargo the series was well worth watching.
Now started watching The Last Kingdom which is quite good so far.

Good time to start it. At the time it was overshadowed by Game of Thrones and Vikings, but it's good stuff, even if it gave us the insult, "arseling"!spitthedog wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 7:46 pm

I'm certain there has been many a time when I have been referred to as a certain part of a womans anatomy, but never a nipple...as far as I know.
I also recently watched a most excellent documentary for all you vegan lovers, called What The Health.
It could make even Pedros pause for thought.
It proposes an interesting theory that meat, eggs and dairy are the biggest cause of diabetes and sugar is relatively harmless regarding this.
Heart disease and inflammation etc, aswell.
Also visits the biggest producers of pigs in the country. No coincidence they are in black neighborhoods in Carolina. Interviews the locals there suffering with lung problems from the pollution.
Plus, the protein myth.
Oh, and cheese has alot of pus in it evidently...

Rated R for Ricecakes
I saw the teaser, it looks good
Currently finishing watching "Colony", another Netflix series with 3 seasons so far.
I was skeptical at first as the context of a huge wall around LA didn't make much sense.
But with hindsight it's really good and the scenario shows real vision.
If you enjoyed Westworld you'll like this show. I recommend starting with episode 1 of season 2, before watching season 1.

Season 1 was great but it fell down pretty quickly after that. the least said about the last season the better.

A wonderful anti-documentary. Guess you'd probably have to be British to really get how beautiful it is.

Time on BBC iPlayer.
Brilliant roles by Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.
Three part series, best miniseries I've watched in quite a while
