I use streaming services rather than torrents. I am waiting for all episodes to be available as Paramount + has eff all else worth watching. I’ll then just pay for a month and binge it.

I recently learned it was an old and generic term, thanks to this thread. I first picked it up in a period where I was spending far too much time watching anime, during that time I became aware of the term, used to separate anime adaptations of mangas from live-action adaptations, usually, first, there was an anime, and if that had a huge success, a live-action would come next. Rarely worthwhile, but there were exceptions. For the longest time thought it was an anime nerd term. Turns out it was propper Englishviolet wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:35 pmYa, well not a term I’d heard of obviously. Seems a fancy pants name for regular acting.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 9:05 pm
Live action is a term that has been used for many decades. It does just mean real people/animals/places being recorded - as opposed to animation, graphics or stills (and much more recently CGI, which is basically animation).
Agree wholeheartedly. It started off a bit meh, but by ep 5 it was back to specs.
Now, at ep 7 it has nicely geared up for a big showdown
I watch it at primewire.li
free, ad-blocker adviced though
well youtube but quite a good doco from 1945..was looking for an obscure book on the Chindits mentioned in another book Quartered Safe out here memoirs of a Scots soldier in WW2 Burma George Macdonald Fraser.....and came up with this

Just started watching the series Goliath on Prime.
It's about a washed up, out of work laywer, who spends most of his time in a bar in the sun.
Then suddenly he gets a case that interests him, and he's back grafting again.
It reminds me abit of myself in Shitsville, but without the practising law, and death threats shit.
Dont Look Up, was an entertaining flick on Netflix, aswell. IMHO.

^ I was unimpressed by don’t look up.
I’d previously started Goliath but didn’t get hooked. I will try again (it took many false starts and five episodes before I fell in love with breaking bad)

Tucker Carlson? I do find him amusing, on rarer and rarer occasions. The teacher part, not so much. He has become more and more a rightwing nutbar for the last year if not more all I presume in a quest for better ratings. As for BS, yes he does call it out, but is responsible for spreading at least as much himself.

Again, he actually verbally encourages independent thought on prime time, this is rare. He also has respectable guests.
He doesn't have to try too hard for great ratings.
For amusement I was probably thinking more of Gutfeld, though Bar Rescue can be pretty amusing too.

He may say any number of things. Doesn't mean that he believes it. He is an entertainer after all. Guess we will have to agree to disagree.
