Is this the cheapest beer in town - at least in a place aimed at a western audience? Fresh Chilli, a large double front restaurant / bar on Street 172 is now selling draught beers at 30 cents. It's an odd place. It looks pretty nice, but seems to have some deal with tour companies because it usually has large parties of 20 or so western tourists all eating together and cooing at the fried tarantulas.
It's a few doors down from where Quealy's used to be if you're interested.

Isn't the cost of a standard draft beer, 0.33l, something like USD 0.35? So they're losing 5 cents per beer?
Is it Angkor?
Is it Angkor?

No idea. I was told this by someone else. Haven't been in myself. Obviously a loss-leader though. Like I said their customer base seems exclusively groups, so as the low season kicks in I suspect that they are doing it to drag in other people wandering past.DonCalzone wrote:Isn't the cost of a standard draft beer, 0.33l, something like USD 0.35? How much do they charge for a glass of water. I bet it's not the cheapest in town.
