The young people would love it, especially if they're alone and want to make friends. Plus a group of 20 drinks more than 20 individuals $$$.
Why did the last one stop?
If it's the main bar/hostel on the side of the 24hr shop I think it is, but it's usually busy during the day too so a bit of an outlier.
I still think there would be enough backpackers to do it, it's not like the Asian visitors make a big difference to the numbers.
Vieng Vang is dead, Thailand is too strict, so SHK could easily become a big thing.
I bet there would be tons of free publicity from UK newspapers with the 'right' marketing.
