I'm not sure the OP would mingle all that well at Java...

To separate it from bars, I guess. Coffee shops also welcome.Stagger Lee wrote:Your thread title specifies "restaurant coffee".
Why 'restaurant' ??

The Providore sell it too, https://m.facebook.com/TheProvidoreCambodia/Khmerhamster wrote:Agreed, these are the two best local coffees i have found in Cambodia.jm wrote:Tini serves Feel-good, and Brooklyn (at least the deli) Rumblefish, both good.

Didn't realise rumblefish was in Brooklyn - anywhere else in PP selling it?

if we include coffee shops... I think Brown does a good brew as well. I much rather go to Brown than to Costa, Starbucks etc.

Starbucks has real drip coffee, they will make it for you in 10 mins. Unheard of in Camboland. I might bring my typewriter next time.
Sounds the same as ordering a coffee from a 'drip' in Brown that usually takes ten minutes too?pablomiguelgarcia wrote:Starbucks has real drip coffee, they will make it for you in 10 mins. Unheard of in Camboland. I might bring my typewriter next time.
(for those not familiar with the informal use of 'drip')

Some of the Browns do drip brew. Norodom (old ISPP branch) certainly do, They also do cold brew, aeropress, chemex ottomatic and syphon methods.pablomiguelgarcia wrote:Starbucks has real drip coffee, they will make it for you in 10 mins. The menu for these is not on general display, go to the counter behind the Espresso machine and there is a kitchen worktop/bar area and separate menu with a choice of 4 or 5 imported beans for you to choose with each method. Quite pricey: $2.50-3 a cup for any of the 4 or 5 methods.
I'd guess their roastery branch does this too.
They're about to open a new café, Brown Raintree doing these types of methods

Brown is far superior to Starbucks.

LOL!Stagger Lee wrote:What about that 3-in-1 stuff in sachets ??
But if you really want to try some Sin Veng Yu make their own 100% Cambodian 3in1 'chemical free' instant coffee. (Not on their nice website which they've been lazy updating)
A pour over takes like three minutes . Why anyone needs coffee any faster than that I don't even want to consider.Rama wrote:LOL!Stagger Lee wrote:What about that 3-in-1 stuff in sachets ??

Don't blame me I voted for Sanders
I agree jm. I've never tried Sin Veng Yu's instant coffee, but I'm impressed with their business effort.
jm and Vlad you might want to try out
Founan Roaster and Café I was very impressed with their gourmet blend. They have a seating area if you want to try out their coffee before buying their beans.

Coffee aficionados !
The 3-in-1 sachet tip was not a serious one.
