Sinan on 172 have around a full menu of cheap, edible, food.

From memory; steamed fish fillet with lime sauce and veg for $2.5, basic sweet and sour chicken large plate $2.5.

Warning Bali on 178 similarly has a choice of around eight decent Indonesian food dishes for around $2.50 each.

11 kitchen, or 11 high kitchen or whatever it's called have a location in ttp and bkk2 and their whole menu is underpriced and pretty tasty. I struggle to get the bill over $25 for two adults and two kids, so everything there is cheap and good.

I went there for the second time today. I ordered the same meal as last time, wet burrito. This time I didn't enjoy it like the first time.

Up on victory hill here in sihanoukville if you come from downtown on main road, go past girliestreet, next left, first restaurant on left hand side oposit golden rooster.

Chicken cordon bleu (2 big pieces, fries/mash and a gardensallad) 2.75$. Great value, enough for 2 meals.

I went to Cafe Sushi for the first time this evening, it's at the start of Sothearous. I'm not a big sushi aficionado, but I really enjoyed the food there, and the prices are very reasonable. The soft-shell crab rolls were great.

Hainan chicken rice is my favourite no matter where I am. I was super lucky in Manila when I worked there as the park opposite BDO Tower had a restaurant devoted to it. From memory it was about $5. Love the st 63 HCR in Phnom Penh.

That two little restaurants next to each other opposite Mealy Chenda on Victory Hill were always great value for money.
Are they still there?

Normally when I go there I see budget travellers and old expats of all nationalities. Check it out and give the sweet and sour chicken a try.

Will do sometime next week. I've been looking for a sweet and sour chicken replacement since Kandal House closed.

Best cheap meal I go to is the Chinese hand-pulled noodles place on Monivong, right next to Bayon bakery. Fried noodles are $2.5 the plate and the dumplings are 2 to 2.5 for a dozen.

And favorite Tom Yum rice noodles soup at Boat Noodle restaurant on st. 63 for KHR8,000.
