Fuel Bar/Lady Drinks
Fuel Bar/Lady Drinks
I was just in Fuel Bar on the Friday night, and was told by the staff that if you buy a lady drink you get 1 free draught.
So my question to the staff was, I bought 3 girls at the same time a lady drink, so i must receive 3 free draughts. I was politely informed that if i bought the 3 at the same time i am entitled to only one draught.
A discussion ensued and was politely informed no. Mind you they offered me a $1 shot of jagermeister as compensation.. I checked the facebook page and pointed out the post.
So am i wrong or right.
Should i have pushed harder or not.

This would be a great breach of contract case for a hostess bar lawyer to file. Did you debate the point with a Western owner/manager or with Khmer staff?Mekongme wrote:I was just in Fuel Bar on the Friday night, and was told by the staff that if you buy a lady drink you get 1 free draught.

You could buy the first lady a drink and drink your first free draught beer quickly before buying the second lady a drink and getting your second free draught.
I am certain that with a bit of practice at rapidly knocking back the beers you could keep half a dozen ladies entertained using this method.
Don't forget that the lady pulling your draught deserves a drink as well, yet another free beer sliding its way along the bar towards you.

Is Fuel Bar a hostess bar? I thought they were just a regular bar.
How much is a lady drink? How much is a draft beer? Did you only buy lady drinks in order to get a free draft beer, or for the company of the ladies?
I understood that Fuel bar were advertising that they were a sports bar... Sports bars should be hostess free, I can think of nothing worse than trying to watch a game of rugby and being constantly harassed by a bunch of hostesses who aren't interested in the sport being shown.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Here are the terms of the offer, as stated on Fuel's Facebook page.

I am more concerned about how to answer the final question.
Yes, this is not one of the best offers in town. Or,
No, this is not one of the best offers in town.
Do both responses mean the same?

Yes, they both mean the same thing, and neither of them agrees with the statement made, which is asking you to defy the statement that it is one of the best offers in town. A more acceptable response, if you wish to disagree about the idea it is one of the best offers in town would be
No, it isn't one of the best offers in town.

Your 'more acceptable response' seems very similar to my second response. Why is yours more acceptable?violet wrote:Yes, they both mean the same thing, and neither of them agrees with the statement made, which is asking you to defy the statement that it is one of the best offers in town. The offer is ambiguous. Either it should say "a free draft beer with your first ladydrink" or "a free draft beer with every ladydrink you buy".
Did the OP ask whether he would get another free draft if he bought a fourth ladydrink later?
Whenever we introduce a new promotion we inevitably get the odd customer looking for loopholes. We ran a "buy two drinks get one free" promo and had an American guy claiming that that meant you bought two drinks and one of those two was free, instead of the intended meaning of buy two and the third is free. We changed the wording to make it clearer.
With another promo we had said "first ladydrink free". A customer said that meant the first ladydrink for each different girl was free. We added in some more fine print to the offer...

And it better be damn cold and not a fridge beer.
Next time you're there inform the staff that they'll have to wait their turn as you can only drink 1 beer at a time.
