A mate told me that one time in Phuket he was busy with this bar girl in his hotel room when her phone rang, she looked at the caller and hung up. He rang again and she answered abruptly "Cannot talk now, have cock in mouth!"

Last night I went out for a few beers at 11 pm, which is odd timing for me.
Around 2-2:30 a.m. I felt like going to a hostess bar, but all of the "respectable" hostess bars on Street 130 were closed. I really had no choice but to go to Street 136.
Two memories will stick with me for the next 12-24 months until the next time I unfortunately find myself on Street 136.
1. There are a ladyboys on Street 136. Way more than I remember. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I mean, just walking down the street I felt like I was on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 4 in Bangkok with how many ladyboys were accosting me.
2. I went into a bar called Tiger Bar. Any port in a storm. Now, I've been walking into shophouse bars in the Riverside area for almost fifteen years and this bar blew my mind. Because you walk in, and then you have to walk down three steps to enter the bar. How is that possible? Is the bar located under Street 136? Does the building have a basement? Then to go to the toilet you have to walk up three steps.
I felt like I was at one of those roadside tourist traps in Michigan where your car rolls "uphill" in an optical illusion.
I bought a can of Anchor and a lady drink. Anchor was $2.50. Lady drink was $3.75. Ouch.

TONIGHT SPECIAL at Tiger 136 Bar *PHUKET BEER : $1.9
They are evidently having a cowboy party at Tiger bar tonight and you can get a bottle of Anchor for the same price as a lady drink!

That was quite a fucking anti-climax of a story, can't you do better? At least tell us about the people in the bar.gavinmac wrote:Last night I went out for a few beers at 11 pm, which is odd timing for me.

If memory serves, I think thats exactly how Cavern on 104 is/was? I think there were steps down to the bar from the door and then steps that went to the back where the washrooms were. Or I was just hammered and dont remember it well.gavinmac wrote:...

They just dug out the main bar area at Tiger bar to allow for a full-height mezzanine area. When you enter Tiger bar you can either go down the three steps to the main bar and mini pole dancing stage, or up a few steps to a lounge area with sofas.

Are most/many of the St. 136 bars at $2.50 for a can of local beer and $3.75 or more for a regular lady drink now or are they an outlier?
