You'll need to shop around, quality and taste will vary, once you find a seller that sells the product you enjoy then just stick with them.violet wrote:I have just bought some from the Old Market. This is the first pork rind/crackling I have bought in Cambodia. I don't like it at all. Cardboard.
Pork rind...cooked like crackling/crackle
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

They sell it in packets as a snack. I know the owner went to a lot of trouble to refine his recipe, violet wrote:Was wanting in bulk, not just accompanying a roastLucky Lucan wrote:Buffalo Sister.
and it's prepared a completely different way to the stuff in the markets. I've tasted it a few times

In all seriousness though; find a business - Khmer or barang owned - that has an oven, buy some rind (or even belly), and offer them $5 to use it for 20-30 minutes. It's Cambodia ffs. Will they think it odd? Sure. Will they take your gratuity? duh...
