Why did the Indian fellow attempt to destroy JM? It's not like the Garage and an Indian restaurant would be tight competitors. Or did JM refuse to send bobs and vagene pic?Jackal wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 2:48 pmTo be fair, it was ranked in top 10 restaurants of PP for a while before the Indian gentleman who owned at the time Anjali and a brace of other businesses went postal with fake bad reviews of all businesses in the top 30.
Then JM went inspector Morse on his ass and broke down the fake reviews and got all the three restaurants delisted from trip advisor.
Did Garage Bar get raided re: Coronavirus?

Not just him. Same fellow was posting multiple bad reviews of 30 or 40 places with food in town that ranked above him on TripAdvisor, including my bar.Gasoline wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 4:08 pm

It was 60iq level retarded shit. New account would pop up and give twenty places 1 star reviews and then give Anjale and whatever his other places were called 5 star reviews. Repeated time and again.
Once a spreadsheet was created(by JM, iirc) it was quite clear where the bias lay, lol.

Fair enough, I never heard anyone call it one in real life. It's more just a bar that has a snack/ sandwich menu.Simple simon wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 3:28 pmYes they did. Quite literally. Alexandra suggested it was allowed to stay open because it was a restaurant. My comment was directly answering that point.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 2:18 pmNobody ever called it a restaurant. I only ever ate a burger once or twice there, it bore no resemblance to any street food - so I'm doubting you ever went there. Not a dumb? Garage is registered on its business licence, just like Tacos Kokapelli and Irish Place for example, as a restaurant which is fortunate for these businesses, who of course are more bars but luckily because of this they have been allowed to stay open while all around had to close under HE's masterplan of stopping Covid.Simple simon wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 3:28 pmYes they did. "My intel says they’ve been visited a few times. They’ve been given a letter ensuring patrons have access to hand sanitizer etc. They’re allowed to remain open because it’s a restaurant."
Secondly, I went to the Garage Bar about 2 to 3 times a week for about 2 years straight. And, the reason I say street food, is the fact there's no kitchen. They cook in front of the bar, or at least they did in the past. The Cuban was the only so so sandwich that was decent. But that went to crap as soon as the American guy sold it to the nervous British guy. I'm bad with names, sorry. And, I meant to say the Garage is no dump. Its a nice bar and if you really get hungry you can walk across the street to Larry's who's food is actually decent.
Numbnuts all grown up
it is explained above it is registered as a restaurant which is why they are open. nobody claimed it was a specific restaurant, i doubt anyone would think of it as a restaurant and indeed most people go for drinks but it sells food and therefore by good fortune they have registered as a restaurant which were allowed to stay open.offshoresports wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 8:42 amLet me clear the first thing you said up.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 2:18 pmNobody ever called it a restaurant. The original American owners sold it to the Australian Boat guy who sold it maybe 12-18months on to the British guy. Those 12-18months were when it went downhill in terms of food and atmosphere with that bearded warlock hovering over the tunes all night every night playing his "eclectic" mix which put many off going.
I thought that the food including the fries/chips (and music and atmosphere) improved a lot during the Brits tenure and I think it has gone up a few more notches since the Canadian musician took over 2+ years ago.
but each to their own, different bars (restaurants) suit different people.
I hear the Canadian musician owner is working on a new song "Gotta Go Garage Bar"....if you want to meet a rock star!

He had no part of the bar other than drinks there now and then after it was sold.Khartoum wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 4:07 amGuest may be thinking of Brunt
The original Crew, included JM, a partner, Morticia and a few other girls, then The Australian Pirate Era, followed by the British Punk Era (where the warlock helped out), now the Canadian.
