Ambitious prices indeed . The old Chinese house seems a bargain at $6k pcm but clearly wasnt enough business for the defunct, short lived duplex that took it on.
Can we get a definitive list of Westerner bars/restaurants permanently closed during COVID times?
Has Riverside Andy sunk or was there a taker for his $600.000 restaurants?

As far as I know he sold up years ago. And there certainly were takers.McBoaty wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:18 pmHas Riverside Andy sunk or was there a taker for his $600.000 restaurants?
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Surely a better question would be 'Could we get a list of places OPEN during Covid times?'

We got married at Open Wine in 2008 when it still had the wall and the big thatched kajok at front.
Frank and Phillipe did an amazing job despite never having done a wedding before.
We did the morning ceremonies inside the restaurant space which was emptied of furntiure and AC'd and it was bacon and eggs for the westerners and rice baw baw for the khmers and then it was back there for a help yourself buffet dinner of both western and khmer foods and a wicked band we hired until the wee hours. .
We took in our own cases of red wine and whiskey and there was free flow of beer all night.
From memory the cost was USD$9 a head . No venue rental fee or corkage or anything.
Great times....

I wonder who's living above. One of the most spectacular apartments around that area.

I always thought it was just restaurant kitchen and storage up there, not an apartment.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 10:20 pm

Back in 2008 I wasn’t married and wouldn’t hesitate to plunge in the blue mountain, today I would prefer this swimming pool, not for the listed price tho.
