Did you ever download the dash cam footage of our rally through SHV?Barang_doa_slae wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 12:54 pmI had my Subby turned into a safari rally car in Thailand; jacked up 4 inches, legit reconditioned rally coilovers, Rims, tires, tubular cage, etc.
Result isn’t as convincing as I hoped but there is room for future improvements.
Now If the cost wasn’t an issue I would have that instead:

Singer is the best Porsche resto-mod builder in USA, this was their first try at a rally car probably inspired by the 80’s Paris Dakar Rothmans.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:13 pmI don’t really get it. Lots of body roll and it looks really unstable even going around a light corner.Barang_doa_slae wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 12:54 pmI had my Subby turned into a safari rally car in Thailand; jacked up 4 inches, legit reconditioned rally coilovers, Rims, tires, tubular cage, etc.

Great for Dakar not so good in Abergavenny.
It reminds of a kit car (edit. Apparently they’re called ‘replicas’ now) from the 80s. I see if I can find it. The name escapes me.

Who’s driving? Looks like a typical pro rally driver - no expression. I’d be going “weehaaa yahoo, WTF, arghhhhhh!!!”

Moreover It isn’t a WRC but a Safari Rally car as such a proper off roader.
Basically everywhere ricecakes can go with his FJ it can too albeit much faster if daring

Today I had an issue with my starter motor on the 105, so I bashed it with a tyre iron and off we went.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:13 pmI don’t really get it. As much as I like the Ze Germans, I suspect doing same to a Porsche would cost you $6000.

Maybe a tad less, as last month’s medium-strength pissed-off khmer woman’s kick on my body panel 400$ repair bill can attestPetrol Head wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 2:52 pmToday I had an issue with my starter motor on the 105, so I bashed it with a tyre iron and off we went.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:13 pmI don’t really get it. You are going to look pretty silly doing that in Prahran with a frappe latte in one hand and some avo smash in the other.Petrol Head wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 2:52 pm

Your poor car never realised it's full potential in the Top End.
*sigh*

Watching that guy in the Mitsubishi (snorkel) was painful, plus is sounded rough when he come out, unless it was him spinning the rears (selectable 4x4)?

^ bloody Tritons mate - when they grow up they want to be Hiluxes.
Also, Tommy Triton has the intake on the snorkel facing backwards as if he's about to tackle the Canning Stock Route
