Nicely done, RC. You’ll get many happy hours out of that Prado, I’m sure.
I put 1500km on the 105 over the last 2 days. What a fucking beast.

Look again.
I think the aluclean got to you...
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Changed direction.
I have just bought a 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero NG V6 Auto petrol Superwagon .
It drives SUPERBLY . Plenty of oomph and smmoooooth and yes....i know this will guzzle gas but my workplace ( where i get a truck anyways ) and woolies are very close so it wont be racking up KMs every week. Come standard with a suspension seat ! love it.
Funnily enough I used to roll around in one of these ( a mates ) when it was NEW in 1991 and I was at uni. I used to see them in Cambodia as the Hyundai Galloper . When they were relased late 80s and early 90s as the GEN1 Pajeros they were unbeatable in the rallies. I think from memory Bubble T had a SWB one for years in cambodia and sold it on to a forum member ?
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the box form of these things! I also love the steel bumper bars front and back which are tree proof ! A tjm steel rear step bar costs $2,000. But No.....standard on these things !! My belief is that these will become a collectors items as young millenials and collectors start buying them up in preference to expensive Landcruisers etc. If that hasnt started already.
Wish me luck.

Yeah there’s a few rattling around here. As usual in Cambodia the majority have been run on a shoestring. It’s not the engines or drivetrain that is an issue but suspension.
Good off road though.

It wasn't you that ended up with bubs was it?

Haha, nope.
I’ve looked at quite a few Galopers/Pajeros and they are either way overpriced (because the expat owner has pretty much replaced everything because they were told too) or utter, utter shite boxes. Not much in the middle.
On a random note. My CRV’s cooling rad fan packed up yesterday (stripped it and the motor is fubared, but it’s probably the original) and do you think I could find a new fan? Nope!
Second hand $20 and now it sounds like the engine is noisy but it’s the fan bearings.
I might get a bulk order from AliExpress and sell them on!
Oh. My CRV was originally AWD but as often happens the locals remove the prop shaft and drive shafts because “better on fuel and can’t break” so now it’s 2WD.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
They are called Monteros here not Gallopers, that’s a Hyundai.
pew, pew, pew, pew!

Just waiting on XTM drawer to arrive
The car is ultra straight and clean and a joy to drive. It's been a lot of fun working on it too. Big difference when you feel an emotional connection to your car. Only other one like this was my 80 series 1HZ .

What? What?
What? What?
