Ah yes... Good times indeed. In retrospect to your scribing, one query, apart from oneself *chortle*, I would beseech upon thee would be "Huh?"Orichá wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 8:38 am...as I read thru the diverse range of nonnyish-noodlism above, methinks the end times are come...
as we descend into the friendly land of collective solipsism and the five a.m. stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
alas, there isn't much time left for all of us dear laddies.. so, gather up your holies and kit out yer last few trinities... "Yeh, then beg for forgiveness as you wish and wish for a bar still open 24 hours, just like they used t'be in New Orleans," so spoke the last Lord Bunny Chocolate, of Easter in April, 2021...
...and do you fondly recall, as do I and the Easter bunny -- with a whimsical nostalgic air -- how gentle Elmer Fud-Al-Saud el Eschaton used to meander down the lanes, homing in on long forgotten fingertips at the ends of oily palms...?
End Times Begin @ 5 A.M...
there wanders elmer fud-al-saud
"el eschaton" -- with a six pack
of vinyl spinal tap, in early
mourning for his forgotten abs...
nevertheless, bravely he meanders
a back lane,
homing in on a tender touch,
pour le massage --
once again...
ahhh, the sweet bunny-buns there
seem so much nicer

(but alas, he sold the oily palm plantation!) R.I.P...
Are any bars open at 5 a.m.?

To Tee-totaller: I am trying to feel good... But I am feeling desperate and alone... So, my normal reaction in this case, is to write comic poems that make light of human habits and identities...
Maybe I should have used Mr. Magoo, not Elmer, but Elmer was the one who was always chasing Bugs Bunny with his gun, so that is kind of the image of an expat skirt-chaser deeply engrained in his daily routine... Actually, that poem idea was given to me by an elderly French gent I once chatted with on street 51 drinking a couple of years ago: he told me that he enjoyed living in Cambodia because he could go to the massage parlor everyday... The French believe in enjoying life. They go where the women are available... And, same as in America, when you get old, they are no longer available... So... Follow the path of least resistance -- to here...
I have also written other recent poems -- all satirical -- about "Cat-in-the-hat" and about conspiracy theorists, too...

Talking of beer. If you’re ever up for a giggle pop into Milano in Kampot. You’ll always guaranteed to see some lop lop barang drinking 50c beer before 12 midday either arguing with someone or themselves, shouting at randoms or playing “drums” with sticks, as is happening now.
Not jobs.

Kampotty. Last time I was there I counted 6 foreigners talking to themselves in 30 minutes.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 10:42 amTalking of beer. One was probably me, sans shirt. I was the one standing on the table shouting “RobW, RobW!, it’s me YaTingPom!”.RobW wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:04 pmKampotty. I find it amusing that the khmer hustlers who so freely play foreign customers are now struggling to make ends meet, depleting their savings, and have to tip hustling khmer authorities in order to operate a speakeasy. Zero sympathy. Zero sympathy for the hustling marks either. What goes around, comes around!
