I have found and read this interesting paper by a researcher name U-Tain. If anyone would love to read it, I provide a url link.

Sanskrit name in Cambodian inscription
1. Your link is broken
2. I think it is common knowledge that the Khmer language descended from Sanskrit, your headline is akin to saying "The name John found in English inscription"

My bad, I got a new link but this is on a different site. This one should work. I just headline it like that because that's the title of the researcher's thesis paper.

That's much better - and by first glance a very interesting paper, I'll be tucking that one away for a Sunday coffee! Thanks for sharing.kke802 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 9:23 amMy bad, I got a new link but this is on a different site. This one should work. The Khmer language is not descended from Sanskrit, but belongs in fact to a totally different language family.
There is, indeed, a lot of cultural influence from India and there are many
Sanskrit inscriptions found in Cambodia written in a script adapted/descended from
a South Indian script used for writing Sanskrit.
