No, this is a new book about Chinese influence in the region. I don't think I can fit in this launch into my busy schedule but good luck to him, his previous book was well-researched, written and received.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I've had the book on my Kindle for a couple of years now but never got around to reading it. I started reading it today and I've found it engrossing. I already know about most of the information he covers in the book and I think many posters here do too. But it is impressive how he assimilated all of these facts and turned them into an interesting narrative. It is easy reading which is perfect if you are busy.

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
Seb did update Hun Sen's Cambodia at the time - which proved impossible to purchase online, so he kindly sent me his revisions personally. 'Dragon's Shadow' is also excellent. I've always been of the opinion that Strangio understands Cambodia better than any other English-speaking analyst (and I wouldn't be surprised if the adjective is superfluous).
