What is the purpose of group processing of passports at bus border? Does it make the process any more efficient? I think it does the opposite, being treated as a group. Clearly it is done for the convenience and profit of the border officials, NOT for security of the state nor for the convenience of the traveller. Passengers of planes and trains aren't treated this way, why those departing and arriving by bus?

BTW, Giant Ibis bus has wifi and electrical power for plugs (though not USB)
