Can someone please advise a Vietnamese bank that offers the following :
+ visa debit with international usage (not just domestic)
+ widespread atm network especially Hanoi
+ decent daily withdrawal limit $500 etc
+ internet banking with international funds transfer capabilities
+ minimum fees
+ no ridiculous minimum balance
Thanks

MB - Military Bank. I am not sure if they have the internet thing, but I have found them to be the 'most Western' of the crappy Vietnamese banks.
Can you use one of the international banks like Citibank? They have higher withdrawal limits and other benefits.

Just what I was thinking. ANZ have operations there as do HSBC. Why make it hard? I've even seen CBA ATMs there.
Vattanac have a good international reputation too.

Exactly. If the foreign banks have few ATMs then get an account with a local bank as well.

Obviously I'd considered ANZ. I bank with them here and in Australia. I can transfer money using internet banking from ANZ Australia to anywhere in the world but not so Cambodia. It's very limited here. I'm told the viet banks a can be good with low fees etc but there are quite a few of them.
And yes...forgot to add a decent daily withdrawal limit as a necessity.
Vattanac ???? Fuck them. I'd rather drink my own piss and gargle.

HSBC Vietnam has the worst reputation in the country. And getting worse around the world, even in HK where a friend and an acquaintance have closed their business and personal accounts in protest. On the FB VN expat forums, HSBC is vilified constantly.
