Prasac doesn't do International transfer, only Prasac to Prasac. But last year there were some rumours about Prasac changing its status to Bank, so thing might evolve in a near future.
It's the same for AMK afaik, no way to transfer money to another MFI or Bank. (AMK doesn't have Internet Banking yet)
Best bank for outward int'l money transfers

Your question has already been answered. MFIs do not do international transfers. As upstage has said, Prasac is currently in the process of following Acleda and moving from MFI to full bank status. That process will be completed in the middle of 2016. It will be able to do international transfers after that.steevee wrote:oh, ok, didn't know that.
But can I do national transfers with internet banking with these MFI?
For example can I make a national transfer from KREDIT to an account I have with ABA or with CAB?
I also read somewhere that with AMK bank you can do money transfers, don't know if international transfer is possible. I believe they even have ATM machines in Cambodia.
But then again, I will just transfer it to ABA and then do the international transfer.
Or is this a bad idea?
I just opened the website from Prasac,
they also have internet and mobile banking, but again, they write nothing about international transfers. Don't know if they have this service, but I am interested to know more about what MFI allows internet banking with international transfers.
I know I'm unloveable. You don't have to tell me. I don't have much in my life, but take it - it's yours.
does this mean that now, in 2017 I will be able to do international transfers with Prasac?Prasac is currently in the process of following Acleda and moving from MFI to full bank status. That process will be completed in the middle of 2016. It will be able to do international transfers after that.

You can now receive money on your Prasac account, that's for sure, I had read it on one of their brochure. The fees are 10 USD
I'm not sure you can send money from it though

Why would I care? I'm Khmer
I have a MFI deposit with Kredit, and this is also connected to a kredit bank account with ATM card. It works fine, no problem there.
But sadly with Kredit, they don't have internet banking with their bank accounts.
What I want is that every time my MFI deposit is matured (after 6 months or 12 months). The money comes to my account (as I have now with both Kredit and Vision).
And once the money is on my account I want to be able to use internet banking to transfer the money. At the moment I still didn't find this.
I am happy with Vision and Kredit, no problem.
But internet banking with any of them would make me even more happy
Next month I will be in Phnom Penh and I will visit the Sathapana Bank.
perhaps they can offer me what I am looking for:

Sathapana do offer internet banking but it is clunky as fuck, looks like something from Windoze 95 and the only bit which has worked for me so far is statement/balance inquiry. Maybe it has improved in the last couple of months...steevee wrote:I have a MFI deposit with Kredit, and this is also connected to a kredit bank account with ATM card.
