My cars won't work on the ATM, and I know in Thailand they can put it through as a purchase and give you cash.
Sick and tied of fees, my UK bank screws me enough.
Can you withdraw money inside Canadia Bank?
If you are a Canadia customer you cannot withdraw money in branch unless you have their silly bank book with you, even if you have your ATM card and passport. I found this out Last Thursday under pressure to draw more than my ATM limit allowed. Going to rectify this by taking all my savings cash out of there when the banks reopen Tuesday so it won't be an issue for me again.

My card from my Canadian (as in Canada) bank doesn't work in the Canadia ATMs. But it works in every other bank ATM I've tried. I was not impressed, especially when they could not explain why my card does not work in their machines, basically shooing me out the door. Also, a couple of years ago, I asked if I could wire money there. Yes, was the answer. But "no" was the final result. Idiots.
I will be switching to ABA when I finally land an apartment back in PP.

I bank with ABA, but they have small max withdrawl limits.
My card used to work with Canadia, and Alceda used to have free withdrawls for Euro Visa cards untilm2 weeks ago.

ABA gives me a grand a day on my Mastercard debit and I think the same again on my Unionpay debit. How much do you need?finy wrote:I bank with ABA, but they have small max withdrawl limits.

A friend just signed up with ABA. He says he can pull a $2,000US from his foreign account. I imagine that's on an overall daily basis.Bosco wrote:ABA gives me a grand a day on my Mastercard debit and I think the same again on my Unionpay debit. I'm not sure because I haven't used the machine for so long, but I think it said around 200-250 dollars per withdrawl.
OP, you can withdraw cash from within Canadia bank branches with foreign cards, also with a Canadia card without bank book. If the teller says no then ask to speak to a manager.
Finy...Standard ABA visa debit cards have a daily withdrawal limit of $1000.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
I both asked to speak to a manager who told me to politely fuck off and then had it confirmed by the customer service guy. Vimean branch of Canadia last Thursday. Cannot was the only solution.PSD_Kiwi wrote:OP, you can withdraw cash from within Canadia bank branches with foreign cards, also with a Canadia card without bank book. .
Well you certainly can at the head office on 108/monivong. If you don't have your bank book get them to give you a printout of your last 6 or 12 months transactions. Then move to another clerk and use that as a bank book, it should do the trick.
Yeah my ABA card is okay, just UK one with crap withdrawal limit.PSD_Kiwi wrote:OP, you can withdraw cash from within Canadia bank branches with foreign cards, also with a Canadia card without bank book. If the teller says no then ask to speak to a manager.

Went back today with the same withdrawal request without the Canadia book to the same teller. Ten seconds discussion behind the scenes and sure, no problem to withdraw. Maybe the grief I gave them last week changed the plan or, more likely simply inconsistency.logos wrote:Well you certainly can at the head office on 108/monivong.
