Use the Xendpay version of RationalFX. Then after your money arrives get an (online is fine) statement from ABA showing the received amount as $35 or whatever less than was sent. Email it to Xendpay and ask for a refund of the intermediary charge under their No-Surprises guarantee. They won't be quick about it and they might offer to add the amount to your next transfer but if you insist they'll repay it your UK account.LIVIDSC wrote:Hi guys, I want to make occasional transfers for around $1k from my HSBC account to my ABA one but I'm sick of this mysterious intermediary bank charge which no one can tell you what it will be, so from what I've read RationalFx is the way forward - it says on their site that it would cost $4 for small amounts and no receiving bank charges? Any alternatives for my specific requirement? I guess I could do one big transfer but I'm still hopeful the GBP will rise again.
Thanks.
