When hookers start accepting bitcoin then it'll really take off as a currency. Maybe one can haggle her asking price down 0.00001 bitcoins or something.

It's decentralized. Unless you mean a global emp. Which at that point, your Bitcoin loss would be the least of your worries.Felgerkarb wrote:Bitcoins are with zero after an EMP event.

https://www.coinspeaker.com/2017/07/19/ ... rediction/John McAfee Says Bitcoin Will Reach $500,000 in Just Three Years
McAfee states that Bitcoin has all chances to reach $500,000 in the next three years.
It is hard to say what the primary aim of McAfee is – to demonstrate his deep interest in Bitcoin or to be in the spotlight. Last year, the former software developer for NASA explained his involvement with the cryptocurrency saying that it will eventually become “the standard for the world”. Here it is necessary to admit that McAfee’s name is well known inside and outside of the digital currency space.

And I thought it was a pain to convert Dong to dollar in my head, now I have to deal with satoshis?!kiiniaew wrote: Most people seem to believe they need to buy a full Bitcoin however that is not the case.
Each Bitcoin is divisible to the 8th decimal place, so each Bitcoin can be split into 100,000,000 units.
Each unit of Bitcoin, or 0.00000001 Bitcoin, is called a satoshi. A Satoshi is the smallest unit of Bitcoin.
There is a maximum number of Bitcoins to be mined but nothing to be scared of as it will be reached somewhere by 2140.....
