KREDIT informed me on Friday that they will be lowering deposit rates for all new contracts starting from July 1st. On the list they gave me, 7.50% is the highest rate (for a 37 month committment).
Amret is currently offering up to 1 % for new deposits made until the end of June.

Further to this I currently have a 1 year term with Amret that has done well for me for 8 years. A mate informed me by email that the EU has decided to give Cambodia and Burma grief over money laundering and there is word of the government "looking into" foreign held accounts. Any one heard of this and any changes/hiccups that may be coming down the road? I am currently in Canada and have no way of getting there to try to extract my dough if things get messy.
Lol. The EU giving Cambodia grief about money laundering! Lollolololo
They’ve been doing that since the 90s and they still give millions in aid. “You’ll look into this ok?”
“Sure we will” #smokeandmirrors

That's what I am hoping the response will be! Unfortunately this time around it has an air of reality, as in legislation actually passed. I hope the Cambodians do what they have been telling the US for a few years. Fuck off!
its a straight forward investigation into where the money come from and whos money it really is
if youre money laundering criminal e.g drugs dealer, armed robber, hitman etc etc theyre going to freeze your account until the investigation is over and your country of citizenship clears your money to remain legal
if your country deems your account balance is from ill gotten gains, goodbye bank balance and it will be repatriated to your countrys' government

Isn't Kredit "dead"? Since it's been taken over by Philipbank last year or so?
My definition of 'dead' would be a permanently shuttered business. What's yours, upstage2?
