That's cool! Is "studying nutrition" like a weekend course or what?
I suggest you find better quotes (or better yet, scientific links that back you up!) to share when people question the seriousness of your field.
Honestly, any field that you have to spew out some cliched-out nursery rhymes to prove your validity is going to be a tough sell. But I'm sure you'll start getting better at rebuttals as everyone and their great-great grandma will question you.
Personally, I wouldn't quote silly sayings when people ridicule/question your field, it makes it look even more like a novelty new age hobby.
I've NEVER met a doctor that had to say something like, "Well, I'm a doctor, and you know what they say, 'a doctor a day keeps the apples away!' Wait, I think I got that wrong..."
I'm going to start using this when I introduce myself as a teacher and people spit out their drinks laughing and start rolling around on the floor until they spill their martinis all over the place:
" It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." -Albert Einstein-
