Can you recomend a Gynecologist
Jess recommended Women-Baby’s Centre Anna - there is a western gynaecologist there that is meant to be good. Did you try there? Or is it a western price vs khmer price thing?
There is a French gynaecologist/obstetrician at the Cabinet Médical Francais - Dr. Michel Sebban 16 Street 57, BKK1, T: 012 634 115
Years ago, I used to have a connection (not anymore) at the Khmer Soviet Hospital on 271 (near Sovanna shopping centre). It had a very good women's health department - which dealt with all gyne/obs and gyne oncology cases.
I could try to find a contact #, but may take a while.......

Thanks chubacca,
I recently quizzed the lady in question and asked if she had sorted out her problem.
She stated she is too shy and unwilling to see a male doctor so did nothing with the information I obtained when I first posted.
So I told her I'll ask for updated information and both I and a female friend will go to the clinic with her to offer moral support.
Even if she still considers herself too shy to attend, the info might assist other posters.
I too would be willing to have a look. Actually ricecakes does know a suitable chap and he helped my partner out a also so e years ago. Ricecakes referred to him as the golf playing gyno many years ago. He had a clinic on 300 and something in BKK near Monivong.
Yesterday I experienced dr. Mu Mu Win (female) at the Royal Phnom Penh hospital and she was like my GP told me, skilled and she seems a good gyn to me. Good English, little to no Khmer though, she's from Myanmar. Good but pricey, but hey, quality comes at a price.... For those having the money and looking for a female doc she might be what you're looking for.

I I would tell you it cost 94 USD would that really help you? That was before the '25% discount for Cambodians' promotion, which doesn't apply for doctor's fees by the way.
And what did that include? Ie pap smear, general exam. Any other tests?
I had a general exam and pap smear as part of a general health check up at Khema Clinic last December, and it was good, but I'll prob need to have a more detailed check up. Can't remember the Dr's name though.

That price will buy you:
a doctors fee
an internal echo performed by a skilled doc who's actually able to read the fuzzy pictures on the screen
a blood test
as many free drinking water as you can have

Dr. Sebban comes recommended and apparently every French woman in town goes to him. He charges $50 for a gynecological consultations, and another $10 if a pap smear is included. Note that his office location has moved (he's now at #18 Street 118). He speaks English and French, and is also a pediatrician and family doctor.chubacca wrote:There is a French gynaecologist/obstetrician at the Cabinet Médical Francais - Dr. Michel Sebban 16 Street 57, BKK1, T: 012 634 115
Great, thanks for both info above
Hi, I’ve been looking for a gynecologist too. Could I know any specific name and address so I can visit her?

Have you enquired at the newish Singapore Medical Centre in Phnom Penh -
https://sgmc.com.kh/patient-services/womens-health/
They do not list a gynaecologist as such being on staff but maintain a female health section so should be able to give good referrals if required.
