Anyway, I thought I'd share it here in case anyone feels like helping.
Nick Medhurst is in Cambodia has been very sick with a form of antibiotic resistant strains of infection since August 2014. The spreading strains of enterococcus and e.coli has been a huge problem for Cambodian hospitals that even going for a checkup may actually infect a patient even more.
Nick checked into very reputable clinic for expats to get a definite diagnosis where over $4500.00 of intensive tests couldn’t find anything. He finally made the trip to Vietnam where after diagnosis he had surgery for a prostate tumor but the antibiotic-resistant infection persisted post-surgery. Years of savings are all gone.
Friends here have been pulling together (and are still pulling together) to help him since last year but now we need more help from other friends around the world.
Nick has been a good friend to many people in his decades around the world. I have seen him give jobs and breaks to those in desperate need when he was doing very well. I was one of those people he gave a break to in 1996 when I found myself suddenly unemployed.
Nick’s biggest concern are for his four dogs Bran, Bear, Brady and Baby. They are ten-year old Dobermans and are his beloved children and cannot be separated from each other as it would break their hearts. They were the puppies of a Doberman mother he had rescued in Vietnam in 2005.
We are asking assistance funds the proceeds of which will help for his second surgery and to keep the dogs from being homeless.
