There's an entire continent out there that disagrees with this, sir.
How do you stay healthy?
Whether this is too much, I can not tell. It all depends on what your body thinks about this.Hanno wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:14 amAre you saying that my current regimen might be a little too much:v12 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:00 amThe trick with all the "exercises" is not the exercise, but the natural body recovery cycle.
The exercise tricks the body to overcompensate a little for the exercise load and increase the condition a little. Repeat that cycle and your body gets in a better shape.
Overload the bodies' recovery capabilities and your condition (and health) goes down.
The body recovery is seriously reduced by drinking alcohol (sorry) and somewhat by carbonite drinks. There are reasons why athletes, who want to accomplish results, do not drink alcohol.
IF you suffer from more and more little (and bigger) physical old-ages issues, despite exercising, you are in the vicious downward cycle, overloading your body/recovery. For athletes, this is called "over training". Just do less heavy exercising and give the body more time to recover.
5-9 runs a week
Gym 6 times a week
Bike 4-5 times a week
Aerobics 6 times a week
I have bugger all else to do since this little Wuhan flu hit.
If you are Hercules, I think you should scale up significantly. If you are 50+ old, regularly drink more than a can of beer, I think, your schedule is by way overloading your body.
There is an easy check, whether there is overload: When you have serious sleeping problems, the next night (or after 2 nights) after a heavy exercise (so not the same night), then there is a serious chance, your body is being overloaded. Be aware, with daily overloading, that whole bad sleeping scheme accumulates with every overload. A pretty chaotic situation, making it very difficult to get back to the source of your sleeping issues.
Scale back to nothing for 1-2 weeks and see if the old-age assumed issues do resolve. If so, you know the cause. After 1, better 2, weeks "nothing", you can gradually restart a training schedule. Start with 1 type, half the normal time, 2 times (evenly spread over) the week. Gradually add more days, though with each day added, at the same time, half the exercise duration and some 70% of intensity. From there gradually build up, though stay away from that original exhausting scheme.
The moment sleeping issues return, scale-back the intensity and number of training sessions, significantly.
And read my writing about drinking water to overcome a little of the sleeping issues.

Thanks v12. My comment was a little tongue-in-cheek. Whilst I do like my beers, I have been working out all my life and have a old feel for when I am overdoing it. Also, may training is cyclic, 3 weeks of load, one week of reduced effort. I am obviously knackered after a big day, but a lot of the running (the hardest part in my opinion) involves mostly running in zone 1 and 2. Thus, few runs leave me completely hammered.

I have sex with my Khmer wife who is 27 years younger than me regularly.
Swim ...
Eat a lot of green vegetables and garlic..
Drink a little whisky a few times a week..
I live a quiet life away from people who do not take care of themselves.
My place is clean and sanitary.
I also avoid speaking about religion and politics which seems to be a great recipe for good mental health these days..
Did I mention my young hot wife?

It’s hard to decide who so regularly posts about their wonderful life - bodine / Bob not Bob or ricecakes.
Thanks for reminding me..
My wife uses the sanitary pads..
But, maybe in a few years I will need them.
It is very important to exercise and eat well.
But, one thing throughout the past 35 years is trying to teach people the difference between clean and sanitary.
A great example is why these masks are a joke for the most part.
A great example in Cambodia is trying to explain that the Riels given in change at wet markets are filthy. The need to wash your hands and sanitize them is crucial after handling Riel notes.
You can do a thousand sit ups a day and run 10km,....but, you can make yourself violently ill by just handling some notes and then touching your mouth..

Pineapple, it's so cheap here, full of good stuff. The local diet is pretty good, it's the Western diet that keeps me heavy. But I need some beer and bread to stay happy. Most important is to keep a low-stress level. If you dislike gyms, you can do everything with your own body weight. Just look at folks like Stew Smith, does it all on a grass lawn.
Aha, the Hercules mode. Be aware, where Icarus just tumbled from the sky, history tells Hercules became a snowflake again at an older age. Good luckHanno wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:25 pmThanks v12. The more you live in a "clean" environment, the less your immune system gets challenged with all kinds of just small issues, the bigger the chances something nasty will have a serious effect on you (instead of just passing by unnoticed).Guest wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 3:08 am.....

In Western countries, we do see more and more kids getting long term chronic issues, just because they were protected too much at a younger age "against getting dirty" and did not build up suitable immunity.
Actually, I cannot eat Avocado..though I love it.. It causes pimples for me..Yes, I accept your opinion..consuming good fat food is beneficial..I consume food rich in Omega 3 such as Fish, sunflower oil..But, I rarely eat chicken and eggs..
