Bicycles are always considered as a medium to travel. Also, one should use it because there are so many benefits to ride a bicycle you don't need to do other exercises or have to go to the gym if you ride a bicycle regularly. Riding a bicycle is basically doing an exercise.
Following are some benefits of exercising on a bicycle:
1. Minimizes the risk of diabetes.
2. Reduces the body fats.
3. Makes you leg joints strong.
4. Provides relief from stress.
5. Lowers the risk of cancer.
What are the health benefits of exercising on bicycle?
Number 3) makes leg joint strong.
Take note of the size of some of them Cambodian Rickshaw riders calf muscles., Massive.
I actually rode it, climbed up onto the seat (they are high sitting) the old boy hopped into the front carriage thing, and off we went , 3 blocks to 172, ,I gave him $2, he was happy, smiling, probably that I didn't crash his business.... my legs, and butt were sore after that 15 minute thrill.
sorry off topic.

There are plenty of benefits, how they are even remotely connected to your link is another thing.

Your immunity becomes so strong that colds n flu never affect you. Your legs become stronger but not bigger. Your upper body wastes away but your heart remains strong. However all things are age related and 4000m mountains are too tough.
Three years on the road and not stopping yet. It is addictive but hard.

I dumped my motorcycle for a bicycle two years ago. It's good for you, but you have to do a hell of a lot to lose a beer belly. Running is far more effective for that.
I have been thinking recently that I'm a bit out of proportion now, strong legs but feel a bit puny upper body. I don't want to join a gym again (too many morons). Think I will buy a simple weight bench etc after the holidays and get things rebalanced.
