Cases aren't exploding in Hong Kong and many of those people live on top of eachother in micro "rooms" separately only by hanging cloth. If the virus is going to really take off someplace outside Hubei Province, it will probably be there first.
The Homo Sapient experiment has been declared a failure and needs to be eradicated and replaced with version 3.
To me it looks like Mother Earth has finally got pissed off with the grubs that exist on her crust.
Those grubs that show little or no respect to her are to be removed whilst the rest of the animal life and vegetation remains unaffected allowing earth rebuilds itself.
I blame Trump for all of this.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

The BBC screams out that the first death has been recorded in Europe! Shock, horror, it is an 80-year-old Chinese man from Hubei province. Forgive my cynicism toward this pathetic, pandemic panic (alliteration deliberate).

Holy shit!
As for those 20 odd tested, they all returned negative, however there have been false negatives in a few previous cases.

The first pile, constructed under the leadership of Dr Fermi, ran for a short while at a power of less than one Watt. People doubted that this technology could be of any importance. Rapid developments, however, culminated a couple of years later in the almost instant elimination of several hundred thousand, mostly civilian, Japanese. Engineers had mastered the art of controlling the avlanche.springrain wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 1:38 pmThe BBC screams out that the first death has been recorded in Europe! Ok, maybe I lay it on a bit thick, but here in China the paranoia is mounting. Social media is full of similar stories and how the virus can survive for hours. My wife gets constant messages from friends in Europe asking why she hasn't left yet. I can tell you that the Chinese are much more afraid of this virus than Westerners.
One disturbing fact is that the incubation period (according to China's Surgeon General, Mr. Zhong) can be up to 24 days or longer. Therefore, many of the people who have left China could carry the virus far. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

No more passengers from Westerdam cruise ship allowed into Malaysia
PETALING JAYA: The government will no longer allow any passengers on the Westerdam cruise ship from entering the country.
This comes after an 83-year-old American woman, who was a passenger on this ship, tested positive for Covid-19 after she flew into Malaysia.

Well seeing as how 99.9% of the people croaking are Chinese, that stands to reason.

With all these scientists working on this virus for a few months now, can any of them definitively say:
how long the virus lasts at different humidities/ temperatures outside the body? It seems a fairly easy bit of info for them to obtain.
Also, why hasn't anyone made up an easy to read chart showing age/ underlying medical condition, cause of death, of those who have died.?
Seen a few on age/ location. Not very revealing.
It seems like the media are not acting very responsibly. A lot like when they and certain governments were handing out info on HIV.

Many are buying face masks for their pets. Others are abandoning them out of fear.

Turns out an "expert" in China is the source of spreading unproven claims about cov-19 spreading from humans to pets. "Pets can catch the mysterious new virus that has already killed almost 200 people, according to a Chinese expert who has urged people to monitor their domesticated animals.
Li Lanjuan, an epidemiologist and member of the team China has assembled to confront the new coronavirus, claimed the bug, dubbed 2019-nCoV, can be transmitted from mammal to mammal. She did not say if there had been cases of infected pets.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously stated there is no evidence that pets, like dogs or cats, can be infected with the virus. It's not clear if 2019-nCoV "has any impact on the health of animals and no particular event has been reported in any species," the agency said. Newsweek has contacted China's National Health Commission for comment.
Lanjuan told China Central Television, according to a translation by China Daily: "If pets go out and have contact with an infected person, they have the chance to get infected. By then, pets need to be isolated. In addition to people, we should be careful with other mammals especially pets."https://www.newsweek.com/chinese-scient ... or-1484841

Hun Sen can be seen in a photo, handing that woman a flower and giving her a hug as she disembarks from the ship. My wife read a report in Khmer, that Hun Sen personally directed the Ministry of Health to request that a second test for CoVid19 be conducted on the woman.
"Keep testing her until the test comes up negative, God dammit!"
That's like, your opinion, man.
