New coronavirus spreading rapidly.
Look at the bright side. If trump catches it and dies it'll have been worthwhile. Even more so if his degenerate offspring gets it, along with Moscow Mitch.

k440, something to do when you're pissed.
Denmark has closed its borders for all travelers. Except for asylum seekers, so if you want to get in just say Trump is persecuting you.

The wealthy politicians etc getting this virus in no way compares to the common man getting the virus. The wealthy politicians can afford private hospitals where they have more chance or not only having the proper equipment and selection of experimental drugs such as remdesivir, but also a much higher chance of sterilising said equipment properly. Which should up their chances considerably. There's always hope though.

Bongs,
Evidently when ordering takeaway food in China, you can now ask for medical information about those that cook and deliver the food. Body temp etc.
If governments wanted to create the perfect tool to install fear, and ultimately control, this would be it.
It's also the perfect distraction and scapegoat for a debt crisis/ economic downturn.
Now, i'm by no means saying...
Springrain??

Yes, as one big concern is secondary infection; there have been many cases where the patient comes down with a different infection while being hammered by Greta-19, e.g. getting bacterial pneumonia on top of the viral pneumonia, very grim.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 1:59 pmThe wealthy politicians etc getting this virus in no way compares to the common man getting the virus. That said, a 103 year old great grandmother in China has recovered after 6days in hospital.

NZ has just announced mandatory 14-day self isolation for all in-bounds. Cruise ship ban until at least end June.

This is hurting the already struggling hospitality sector big time.
Restaurants, cruise ships that already borrowed heavily since the financial crisis. Northern Ireland school's closing.
Who would want to choose to get on a boat or plain right now?
I went in a Subway to buy a roll yesterday, and there was a sign asking could you pay by credit card.
When even bank notes become toxic.

This single act has now put the whole Super Rugby Competition in doubt - seems like the last game will be the Brumbies vs Waratahs and then it will be all called off.Petrol Head wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 2:26 pmNZ has just announced mandatory 14-day self isolation for all in-bounds. I guess the waratahs will be happy!

^ Yep. Wont be the only code either I reckon.
90,000 expected for AFL opener. Nope. They reckon they've got 130m as a 'future fund', doesn't sound like it will go very far to me. Now apparently 2 games per round?!

Oh, oh, oh, and another thing.
This virus was evidently started in over stacked wet meat markets, with cages stacked on top of each other and chickens eating bat shit etc etc.
In a way it's an ethecial meat eating disease.
Ironically, they reckon, that it will only be a matter of time that technology will enable us to manufacture meat in a lab, that will taste better than the real thing.
Phew, alot of time on my hands today.
Is it safe to visit the pub?

I'm glad you posted that as I had originally read hospital acquired pneumonia as being viral. Thank god you're right and it's normally bacterial.kinard wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 2:24 pmYes, as one big concern is secondary infection; there have been many cases where the patient comes down with a different infection while being hammered by Greta-19, e.g. getting bacterial pneumonia on top of the viral pneumonia, very grim.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 1:59 pmThe wealthy politicians etc getting this virus in no way compares to the common man getting the virus. It seems the most common form of HAP is Staphylococcus Aureus which can be cured with penicillin. There are penicillin resistant strains, but they seem to be curable.
