Panic buying and the Corona virus.
Panic buying and the Corona virus.
Panic buying has started in Oz and I had a lengthy talk with my fellow house mates on what we should do. We decided it would be a sensible decision to stock up on some basic food stuffs just in case this thing take off and shortages occur.
What do we need the most and should stock up on became a bit of an issue.
Dried food, canned food, flour, rice, water ???
Could not decide which were the must haves.
So we all went off to purchase what we thought was needed in case of emergency.
I, being the sensible one purchased the basics such as canned and dried food, but felt the need for a bit of a party so also purchased some salami, blue Veined Cheese, Crackers and a Jar of Peanut Butter. Another house mate purchased a tub of cream cheese and some crackers, he did not believe the emergency would last long. The final house mate, being the practical person that he is purchases $300 worth of alcohol.
So I guess that we will toast the end of the world with a mouth full of delicious snacks and a gut full of grog.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

i only do my shopping once every 9 or so days so today im out doing my normal shopping fully aware there is a panic buying spree on & some oldie cums up to me & starts looking in my trolly & comments that the supermarket staff would prefer if customers avoid panic buying.
WHAT THE FUK!!
so now im conscious of not doing my usual shopping just to appease the fuckin snowflakes

No sign at all of panic buying up here. And it would be impossible for people to buy more alcohol than normal.
However there are two long semicircular tents set up on the ambulance station grounds and two big emergency response trucks.
No cases here yet. I think the heat and humidity keep it away.

People are idiots. There won't be any shortages. The only person to get a pat on the back is the one who bought the alcohol. Provided it was Corona...

I guess you have not seen the clips of people in quarantine in their house in Wuhan who ran out of food?
The average supermarket has 2 days stock on the shelves, should logistics break down people run out of food in a matter of days and that won't be pretty.
None but ourselves can free our mind.
This was in reference to Scoffer in Australia. Currently Australians are going mad thinkking they need 12 months supply of toilet paper. Fucking insanity has set in well before any virus.
