Funeral named as major source of outbreak in Spain
A funeral held in northern Spain about two weeks ago has been named as the biggest source of coronavirus in the country, local media have reported.
More than 60 people at the ceremony in the Basque capital of Vitoria-Gasteiz, and their close contacts have been infected, according to the National Centre for Microbiology (CNM).
Meanwhile, the first case of the virus has also been reported inside a Spanish prison.
Officials have decided to put parts of the prison in Aranjuez - about 12 miles (20km) south of Madrid - into lockdown after a staff member fell ill, according to Spanish news agency EFE.
In total, there have been 402 cases recorded in the country. Eight people have died.
Spanish authorities reported the country's first case at the end of January, with the first death on 13 February.

No panic buying here in Andalucia, no masks, the locals still greet with a hug or a hand shake, and the bars are packed.

'Panic Buying in Macro' aka, Friday in Macro
Every time I’ve been to a Makro/Costco the lanes are full of people “panic buying” or buying in bulk, as we call it.
If that’s the case i was panic buying in 2002, before all this modern caronavirus bollocks.

Well, I just chatted with the Missus and in Temple Town the supermarkets are being cleared out. Face masks now cost $25 a pack and alcohol gel between $5.00 and $6.50 a bottle. The governments directive to not price-gouge is being ignored.

Did HE say no gauging, too? I know the Viet gov was asking citizens not to do it.
There's a report in today's Independent saying some online retailers are charging up to 50times more for hand sanitizer, so not necessarily restricted to SEAsia.
Must be around $2000 a barrel.
Up the workers!

well this sarcov2 is playing right into the hands of the americans with sanctions on iran and their dire situation with new cases how the fuck are they going to be able to contain this
of course the americans will end up shooting themselves in the foot big time because if they dont lift sanctions and start aiding iran in short shrift this thing is going to blow iran into number 2 spot rather quickly
come on america, lift them sanctions

In other news: a truck was highjacked in Germany this morning. Not bullion, caviar, or expensive cars. Face masks destined for a hospital..... The world is going effing nuts.

My only experience of panic buying is whenever the bartender announces "last call"
