The word emaciated comes to mind.

Give it a try I say. It's liberating to get that time back from 3 meals a day.
This is the only way I've been able to lose weight.

Don't eat breakfast n cycle 50k ( impossible to cycle more) and you will lose weight very quickly. I guess the same amount of time doing any exercise over a three hour period would achieve the same effect.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
I added breakfast in after not eating it for years. I’m cycling 35- 40k daily now but started to get lightheaded as I was only consuming 2k calories daily.
Small breakfast cereal, cycle, protein drink, 300-400 calories lunch, 2 coffee, large dinner, one snack.
I’ve been considering doing an 80k cycling event. They also have 160k and 30k options, 160 just seems too much but I guess if I’m doing 40 every day I can manage with pacing and a few breaks.

Do it n steps, 50 k, then a week later 75 and so forth, you need to know what it feels like to push yourself each time. If you go from 40 k to 80k without a step you will fail.

I found it quite easy to do, but didn't feel much different so didn't stick to it.
Maybe a celebrity fad?
Lot's of non hipster athletes seem to be going vegan though.
Anthony Joshua, Lewis Hamilton. That German strongest man chap.

Alexandra - I now eat yoghurt daily, but that's the only exception to my plant-based diet. I started doing the yoghurt after reading that it's a good source of choline, which vegans don't get in their diet. Plus the studies done which show yoghurt eaters to have longer lives. Almost 35 years now, no meat, fish, chicken, etc.
