Gotta remember that you are the 1% that can handle isolation and enjoy your own company, while most people will be going up the furking wall with the boredom and ennui.
Are you worried about COVID19?

So what's your grand vision for how this plays out? It's not going to cease to exist.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 1:13 amWhat the fuck do existing medical conditions we have known about for ever have to do with this new pandemic? Try and stay focused, we know loads of people die of Cancer and Heart Disease already.
Will the world be in permanent lock down? Or just every time it gets to Covid-19 season?
As far as I can see, the health authorities are just playing for time. Trying to get better facilities in place before they get swamped. A situation that could have been avoided if it wasn't for the private health insurance/ low taxation brigade.
I'm putting this thing right at the feet of Slavedog.

Place it at my feet and I will boot it straight back at the balls of China - their filthy sub-human living habits and their corrupt and broken system that breeds an environment in which denial and cover-up is the default reaction to any crises.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 10:06 amSo what's your grand vision for how this plays out? On a more positive note, The Times of London reports this morning that our great leader announced that the NHS is very close to having a test that can tell if people have been infected and therefore have immunity. This will allow mass testing of the general population and those who have had it can return to work. It might also reveal that far more people than authorities think have already contracted the virus without knowing it, thus the mortality rate will come right down to less panic inducing levels. Potentially quite a break through.

Was that before or after you great leader turned a redder socialist than kung fu hustle could ever have dreamed, a bit like the stable genius over the Atlantic? On a more positive note, The Times of London reports this morning that our great leader announced that the NHS is very close to having a test that can tell if people have been infected and therefore have immunity.
Boris The Great Benevolent!
But seriously, even my lefty friends are glad we don't have that bungling old fool Corbyn in charge at a time like this.

If you believe anything that blond fuckwit says, you're a bigger fool than I thought. How are the border checks between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK going? Or the bridge?slavedog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 10:52 am

The Koreans have come up with the most sensible thing I've heard so far: they've put walk in testing booths on the streets, so if anyone wants to know whether they have it, they can know immediately and that data added to the country's Covid-19 stats. That way we may finally get an accurate percentage on how big a killer it really is.

That's funny because right-wingers that I know are severely regretting voting for Johnson. They say they'd prefer Corbyn because at least you can believe a word he says. They're also not very happy with what they consider free hand-outs to the poor.
Up the workers!
Come now, KFF, anyone can see that you just made that up.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 1:52 pmThat's funny because right-wingers that I know are severely regretting voting for Johnson.

Have started hash rationing from today and reckon I have enough to last a few weeks, more worringly though, is that the cheap plonk has run out! Plenty of the more expensive stuff and beer too. The only thing that is killing me is not being able to ride my bike. If I could ride up into the mountains for a few hours every day then the whole lockdown would almost be un-noticable except for the lackof a tapas lunch.RobW wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 11:21 amAs long as he doesn't run out of Bob Hope and or the wine shops dry up.

I have a disproportionate number of lefty friends - a result of coming from Cambridge, where the term 'champagne socialist' was coined. Some of them live there in tiny two-bedroom half million pound terraced houses.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 3:42 pmWell at least I didn't call them my friends, like you did with your made up bullshit.slavedog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:15 pmCome now, KFF, anyone can see that you just made that up.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 1:52 pmThat's funny because right-wingers that I know are severely regretting voting for Johnson.

And I bet they aren’t that central either.
