^^ according to the local English news site sweeps were made on Monday and they are being housed in army barracks or similar type places with food and bathroom facilities.

I started off in January by wondering what the extreme measures taken on this virus were about. Then I realised it was because governments has shirked health expert's advice for years and so the hospitals would be understaffed and under equipped. Now I'm back to square one wondering what the fuck is going on again. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been earmarked to try to curb the financial disasters that have come about by containment measures: closing schools, factories, restaurants, parks, borders, even fucking beaches! People have been beaten, arrested, forcibly locked in etc. Xenophobia and associated violent crimes have surged, let alone the fear factor. According to many scientists, there is no way to stop this thing now it's grown so big. It will run its course and the deaths accrued to it will be added to the 56 odd million yearly deaths caused by preventable and non preventable causes. Including the 2.56 million people who died from pneumonia without covid 19 last year.
Shouldn't our governments have been prepared? Surely it would have been far cheaper to have funded our health services property in the first place?
Total 56 million deaths in 2017

What the fuck do existing medical conditions we have known about for ever have to do with this new pandemic? Try and stay focused, we know loads of people die of Cancer and Heart Disease already.

Looking at the latest news from Italy; the highest number of deaths and an increase of 5000 in recorded cases still doesn't worry me as much as not being able to access my money. However, they have been in lockdown for how long? And if those figures don't start levelling out something is wrong!
All this clapping and whistling as the sunsets in Spain is also becoming annoying.

Only concerened about my elder family members and wife, but that is out of my control anyway.
To me this doesn't compare to the months and years of worry and misery people get with cancer, where you know you are likely in it for the long haul.

I'm worried the US economy is going to crash and burn, and I'll be unable to earn money and pay rent.
